Ganderbal, Sept 8(SM): Security and logistical arrangements for the upcoming Annual Harmukh-Gangbal Yatra 2026 were reviewed during a meeting held in Ganderbal on Tuesday.
The meeting was convened by SDPO Kangan and chaired by SSP Ganderbal, with DySP SOG Ganderbal, SHO Kangan and other concerned officers in attendance.
Officials held detailed discussions on the prevailing security situation, deployment of forces, logistical preparedness and disaster-response arrangements for the pilgrimage.
Communication challenges and contingency measures were also reviewed to ensure a coordinated response to any eventuality during the yatra.
The SSP directed the concerned officers and agencies to maintain close coordination and ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place for the safe and smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.(SM)
