Kokernag, September 28, 2026: The Jammu & Kashmir Khaliyo Do Association successfully concluded a two-day National Fitness, Sports and Youth Engagement Event at the picturesque Kokernag Garden on September 27 at 5:00 PM.
The national-level event witnessed the participation of approximately 120 students, including boys and girls, along with nearly 30 officials, coaches and accompanying staff from participating teams.
The programme was organised in the lush green and scenic surroundings of Kokernag, providing a conducive environment for promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, discipline and healthy living among young participants.
A variety of fitness activities, minor games and recreational activities were conducted during the event, providing students with opportunities to enhance their physical abilities while fostering teamwork, interaction, discipline and a spirit of healthy competition.
A special feature of the programme was the hospitality extended by the students of Jammu & Kashmir towards the visiting participants. Their courteous behaviour, cooperation and welcoming attitude reflected the values of sportsmanship, mutual respect and unity.
The event also carried a social message on the importance of maintaining a healthy and drug-free society. Students participated in awareness activities as well as a cleanliness drive at Kokernag Garden, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility, civic sense and responsible citizenship.
In the overall performance, Jammu & Kashmir secured first position, followed by Rajasthan in second position, while Uttar Pradesh secured the subsequent position.
The Chief Guest, the Principal, addressed the participants and appreciated the efforts of the Jammu & Kashmir Khaliyo Do Association, officials, coaches and students. In her address, she particularly appreciated the comprehensive nature of the programme, its emphasis on physical fitness, youth engagement, recreational activities, cleanliness and the promotion of a drug-free society.
Mr. Bashir Ahmad Bhat expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest, participating teams, officials, coaches, students, volunteers and all those associated with the successful conduct of the event. He also appreciated the students of Jammu & Kashmir for extending hospitality and cooperation to the visiting participants.
The successful conclusion of the two-day event reflects the commitment of the Jammu & Kashmir Khaliyo Do Association towards promoting fitness, sportsmanship, healthy recreation, environmental responsibility and a drug-free lifestyle among the younger generation.
The event formally concluded at 5:00 PM on September 27 with a collective message of fitness, sportsmanship, cleanliness, hospitality and commitment towards building a healthy and drug-free society.
