Voluntary Medicare Society Organizes Distribution of Saarthi Smart Canes and Mobility Devices for 200 Visually Impaired Persons

BARAMULLA, AUGUST 23: In view of the upcoming Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Media Centre, along with a Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) and a dedicated Control Room, has been established in Baramulla.
The Media Centre and MCMC, now fully operational at the District Information Office in Baramulla, mark a significant milestone in efforts to enhance transparency, accuracy, and strengthen the integrity and effectiveness of our electoral system.
The Media Centre is tasked with the crucial responsibility of disseminating real-time information related to the election, to the public, media, political parties and any other stakeholders, ensuring that all election-related developments are communicated effectively to the public.
Meanwhile, the MCMC is focused on monitoring media coverage through various sources including print media, social media, electronic media, radio and other sources, to ensure adherence to the guidelines set by the Election Commission of India (ECI), thereby maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.
The Control Room set up at the DC Office, is functioning round the clock, closely monitoring all election-related activities, and addressing any concerns that may arise during this period.
This integrated approach is designed to ensure a smooth and transparent election process, guaranteeing that every event is conducted with fairness and integrity.
