The initiative began with a pledge-taking ceremony, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to live by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. They vowed to serve the nation by maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings and promoting a cleaner environment for future generations.

Participants pledged to dedicate 100 hours annually—two hours per week—towards voluntary work for cleanliness. They committed to not only avoiding littering themselves but also discouraging others from doing so. Furthermore, they promised to lead the campaign for cleanliness within their families, localities, villages, and workplaces.

The event was attended by BRO officials, laborers, tourists, shopkeepers, and other local residents, all united in their resolve to contribute to a cleaner, greener India. They expressed confidence that every small step taken towards cleanliness would help make the nation a better place for all.

This drive is a part of the broader efforts to align with the values of Mahatma Gandhi, who advocated for cleanliness and self-discipline as crucial elements of a healthy and prosperous society.
