The race was skillfully managed by Bilquis Mir, a celebrated water sports athlete who made history as the first female chief jury member at the recent Paris Olympics. Mir, alongside her colleagues from the J&K watersports and kayaking association, ensured the event ran smoothly.

Many participants are artisans who create exquisite bags for internationally recognized brands like Caprese, highlighting the blend of artistry and strength in their pursuit of empowerment. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the top three finishers, while every participant received recognition for their efforts.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including VC LCMA Younis Malik and Special Secretary Tourism Mathura Masoom, who celebrated the achievements of the women involved. In his remarks, Malik honored Bilquis Mir for her contributions to the valley and the nation.
