The vehicles seized were reportedly involved in the extraction and transportation of minerals, a practice that has been detrimental to the environment and local resources.

This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of the Geology and Mining Department to combat illegal mining in the region. The department has been vigilant in monitoring and controlling unauthorized activities that threaten the ecological balance and economic stability of Ganderbal.

Ranjit Singh emphasized the importance of such actions, stating that the department will continue to take strict measures against those violating mining regulations.

The seized vehicles are now under the custody of the department, and further investigations are underway to identify and prosecute those responsible for the illegal activities.

The operations against illegal extraction and transportation are being conducted regularly by the department, with strict actions taken against offenders to deter them from engaging in illegal activities.

The department maintains a zero-tolerance policy against illegal mining, with ongoing efforts to curb illegal extraction, transportation, and mining activities across different areas of the district.
