Srinagar, January 5: Hamad Altaf, hailing from Rawalpora area of Srinagar, clinched a silver medal at the prestigious North West Karate National Championship held in Kurukshetra, Haryana, from January 3rd to 5th, 2025.
Hamad expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards his coaches, Waseem Ahmad Beigh and Manzoor Bhat, whose guidance and support were instrumental in his success.
In addition to his silver medal, Hamad has earned the honor of being selected to represent India at the upcoming Asian School Games Championship in Sri Lanka, scheduled for April 2025.
