J&K Yogasana Sports Association organizes FIT India Women’s Week Celebrations

Srinagar, March 10: The J&K Yogasana Sports Association, under the authority of Yogasana Bharat in Association with Sports Authority of India successfully organized the The FIT India Women’s Week Celebrations 2025 on 08th to 10th of march 2025, at Government Collage of Physical Education Gadoora Ganderbal and Islamiya Collage Srinagar J&K. The event was organized to promote women’s participation in Yogasana as a sport and a path to holistic health. 167+ women’s from various age groups enthusiastically took part in Yoga Sessions and workshop.Besides 74 participants took part in different events of yogasana competations.

The FIT India Women’s Week Celebrations 2025 successfully Concludes.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Nazir Ahmad Waza, who commended the participants for their dedication and sportsmanship. In his address, he emphasized the importance of international women’s day. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Waza shared his thoughts on the transformative power of Yoga, , “These events are a stepping stone towards building a robust healthy ecosystem in our region. They not only encourage physical fitness but also Mental Fitness, among our women’s.” Meddle’s and certificates where given to the athletes who secured positions in the Yogasana sports competitions besides Yogasan competition yoga session was given by shabir Ahmed dar Chief coach yoga , Fareeda Akhter national awadee in Yogasana about women health and currier opportunity in Yogasana and yoga Mr Basit Nabi Wani, Mr Irfan Ahmad Malik, Mrs Showkeya Qadir, Mrs Zubaida Lateef and Mr Firdoos Ahmad Lone also also present sessions on yoga.

Guest of Honour’s Dr. Showkat Hussain (professor GCOPE Gandrbal) , Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad (professor GCOPE Gandrbal), Mr.Irfan Hussain Malik, Mr. Irshad ahmad Malik, Mr. Basit Nabi Wani and Mrs.Suraya Jabeen were also present during the closing cermony. The event was concluded on 10-03-2025 in a peaceful atmosphere. The other office bearer’s of JKYSA was also present.

Mr Firdoos Ahmad Lone and Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Perform yogasana Demonstration infront of participants. Dr. Raqib Rasool General Secretary JKYSA presented formal vote of thanks to the dignitaries and the participants of the event.
