Ganderbal (SM): The residents of Check Duderhama and adjoining areas in Ganderbal district are facing severe difficulties due to the poor cellular services provided by Jio. Frequent call drops, weak signals, and slow internet speeds have caused widespread frustration among the local population, affecting both personal and professional life.

Local resident Wani Umer expressed his disappointment, stating, “We have been suffering badly due to frequent call drops and poor internet connectivity. Despite numerous complaints to the company’s helpline, no action has been taken to resolve the issue. It has become nearly impossible to make a smooth phone call, and using the internet for even basic tasks is a struggle.”

Another resident, Mubashir Manzoor, voiced similar concerns and emphasized the financial burden placed on consumers, saying, “Jio has failed to provide adequate service despite charging hefty sums from us. We are paying for 5G services, but what we receive is barely functional. The poor network has only added to our difficulties, making it hard to stay connected with family, work remotely, or even access essential online services.”

Many residents report that the problem has persisted for over a year, with no visible efforts from the service provider to address their grievances. Students, professionals, and business owners in the area say they are struggling due to unreliable connectivity, which hampers online studies, work-from-home arrangements, and digital transactions.

Frustrated with the continued neglect, locals are now urging Jio officials to take immediate corrective measures. They demand urgent improvements in network coverage and internet speed to restore normalcy in their communication and online activities (SM).
