Tral, June 23: In the pursuit of creating a global understanding, Govt Degree College Tral organized on Monday a captivating seminar titled “Open World, Diverse Culture & Dialogic Consciousness” as part of its ongoing “Meet the Author” series. The seminar saw the presence of distinguished academic Dr. Lakshmi Bandlamudi, professor at the Community College, City University of New York, as the guest speaker.
The event witnessed attendance of faculty members of other colleges as well as a lively crowd of students. Dr. Bandlamudi mesmerized the audience with her profound observation on how art and life are intertwined, how philosophy of living makes sense, and how human consciousness is changing through dialogue of cultures.
Speaking to the media, Govt Degree College Tral Principal welcomed the session and emphasized how important it was for the academic sector.
“Today’s show is part of our Meet the Author series. We were privileged to have a professor from the USA on our campus,” he stated. “Dr. Lakshmi Bandlamudi’s talk touched on deep themes—such as the relation of art with life, the philosophy of the soul and spirit, and how we comprehend history and how it shapes our comprehension of the present.”
