02 drug peddlers arrested in Pampore, contraband substance recovered

Awantipora 11 July 2025: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Awantipora Police arrested 02 drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

During naka checking at Samboora near Bujibagh Crossing , police party of Police Station Pampore headed by SHO PS Pampore Dy.SP(P) Shri Shravan Singh underthe supervision of SDPO Pampore intercepted 02 persons in suspicious condition,when police party signalled them to stop they tried to flee from the spot but police party apprehended them tactfully. During search, 1.66 grams of Heroin and 05 strips(50 tablets )of Vernor N was recovered from their possession. The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as:-  Shakir Arsheed S/o Arsheed Ahmad Bhat R/o Samboora, & Muzamil Gul S/O Gh. Mohd Sheikh R/o Samboora.
