Ganderbal August 6: Continuing its determined crackdown on illegal mining activities, Ganderbal Police in coordination with the Geology and Mining Department has seized six vehicles—five tractors and one tipper—used for the illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals.

The vehicles were found illegally transporting minerals extracted from Nallah Sindh and were seized within the jurisdiction of Police Post Nagbal. This action is part of a broader initiative led by District Police Ganderbal to curb the menace of unauthorized mineral extraction, which poses serious threats to the environment and local resources.

Authorities have assured that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in such unlawful practices. These seizures underscore the firm commitment of Ganderbal Police and the Geology and Mining Department in enforcing the law and protecting natural resources.

The public is urged to support this drive by reporting any suspicious or illegal mining activities in their areas. Informants are assured complete confidentiality, and Ganderbal Police reaffirms its resolve to take prompt and strict action against violators under the law.
