Awantipora, 07 Aug 2025: As a part of its continuous efforts to combat the menace of drug abuse, Police Party of Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO PS Awantipora Inspector Ajaz Ahmad and IC Police Post Toll Plaza under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora along with officers from Excise Department destroyed wild cannabis Approx. 05 Kanals at Awantipora.
Locals of area appreciated the action and have urged the authorities to continue this drive in nearby areas also.
As per the reports, the Special drive for destroying Cannabis (Bung) shall continue in Police District.
