Two Government Employees, Including A Teacher, Dismissed From Service By LG Over Terror Links

Srinagar, August 22(GNS): The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday ordered dismissal of two Government employees from their services over Charges of having terror links.

According to an order, which reads “WHEREAS, the Lieutenant Governor is satisfied after considering the facts and circumstances of the case and on the basis of the information available, that the activities of Khurshid Ahmad Rather, Teacher in School Education Department, S/o Mohd Yousaf Rather, R/o Nawa Gabra Karnah, Kupwara are such as to warrant his dismissal from service;

AND WHEREAS, the Lieutenant Governor is satisfied under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India that in the interest of the security of the State, it is not expedient to hold an enquiry in the case of Khurshid Ahmad Rather, Teacher in School Education Department, S/o Mohd Yousaf Rather, R/o Nawa Gabra, Karnah, Kupwara.

Accordingly, the Lieutenant Governor hereby dismisses Khurshid Ahmad Rather, Teacher in School Education Department, S/o Mohd Yousaf Rather, R/o Nawa Gabra, Karnah, Kupwara from service, with immediate effect.By order of the Lieutenant Governor, reads the order

Where as in a seperate order, which reads, ” WHEREAS, the Lieutenant Governor is satisfied after considering the facts and circumstances of the case and on the basis of the information available, that the activities of Siyad Ahmad Khan, Assistant Stockman in Sheep Husbandry Department, S/o Mohd Afzal Khan, R/o Keran, District Kupwara are such as to warrant his dismissal from service;

AND WHEREAS, the Lieutenant Governor is satisfied under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India that in the interest of the security of the State, it is not expedient to hold an enquiry in the case of Siyad Ahmad Khan, Assistant Stockman in Sheep Husbandry Department, S/o Mohd Afzal Khan, R/o Keran, District Kupwara.
