Police organises cycle race in Awantipora,under the banner of Fit India Movement

Awantipora 24 August 2025: Police organized a cycle race in Awantipora under the banner of Fit India Movement.

The cycle race was flagged off by Senior Officers of Police Awantipora which started from DPL Awantipora and culminated at Y Junction Barsoo. Youth from different areas participated in the said competition.

During the flag off ceremony, officers interacted with the participants and expressed that the event has been organised under the banner of Fit India Movement.The event aimed to instill the values of physical fitness, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation.

Despite continues rainfall, large number of students from various educational institutions participated with great enthusiasm.

During closing ceremony, officers distributed Cash reward among the first three winners of the event.

Officers, while interacting with the participants said that Police will organise such kinds of activities in future also, so that the youth stay away from negative activities like drugs and their energy is channelized in right direction. He also urged the participants to take part in such events & promote cycling habits to maintain their physical and mental fitness.
