Pulwama, August 25: The Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Pulwama conducted an orientation-cum-sensitization program for the faculty and students of Government Degree College (Women), Pulwama, as a preparatory initiative for the upcoming Startup Idea Challenge (Boot Camp) under the J&K Startup Policy 2024–2027. The program aimed to ignite entrepreneurial enthusiasm among students and introduce them to the opportunities, support systems, and ecosystem being fostered under the policy.
The Principal of Government Degree College (Women), Pulwama, also addressed the gathering and spoke about entrepreneurship and startups as emerging career opportunities. She encouraged students to think beyond conventional paths, embrace innovation, and make use of platforms like the Startup Idea Challenge to channel their creativity into impactful ventures.
District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Pulwama, led the technical session with an insightful lecture on the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in today’s dynamic economy. He outlined the objectives of the J&K Startup Policy, explained the process of idea generation and validation, and highlighted how students can transform innovative concepts into viable businesses with JKEDI’s support and guidance. He further urged participants to actively engage in the upcoming Boot Camp and utilize the available resources to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations.
