Inclusive Education Unit along with team of Experts from ALIMCO Organizes Assessment Camp for Children with Special Needs

Tral, October 3, 2025: The Inclusive Education Unit organized a comprehensive assessment camp at Girls Higher Secondary School, Tral, for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) from Zone Tral, Lurgam, and Awantipora. The camp aimed to identify and assess the needs of CWSN students, who were earlier identified by resource persons and special educators.

A team of expert doctors from Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) conducted thorough assessments of the students. After the assessment, 48 students were identified for different aids and appliances. These aids and appliances will be provided to the students free of cost by ALIMCO.

The camp was a collaborative effort between the Inclusive Education Unit, ALIMCO, and the school administration. The unit expresses its gratitude to the team of doctors from ALIMCO, resource persons, special educators, and the school administration for their support and cooperation.
