Srinagar, Apr 21: Doon School Srinagar on Tuesday marked a significant milestone as it hosted its Annual Investiture Ceremony 2026, formally inducting the newly elected Student Council in a grand and vibrant function.

The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Major General Abhijeet Mitra (GOC 31 Sub Area), Guest of Honour Colonel Rajeev Bhooshan, and Special Guest Abrar Khan Tareen, whose presence added prestige to the occasion.

The event commenced with an inspiring address by the Chairman of the school, setting the tone for the ceremony. This was followed by a formal felicitation, where the Chairman and Principal presented tokens of appreciation to the distinguished guests in recognition of their exemplary service.

The highlight of the ceremony was the oath-taking segment, where the Principal administered the pledge to Head Boy Hassan and Head Girl Mufti Fajr. Both student leaders delivered motivating maiden speeches, expressing their commitment to uphold the institution’s values and lead with integrity.

The Chairman, Principal, and dignitaries conferred badges and sashes upon the newly elected council members, marking the official assumption of their roles.

The school management congratulated the newly inducted Student Council and expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests for their presence, terming the ceremony as the beginning of a promising and inspiring chapter for the institution.
