Tral: Apni Party leader and former DDC member from Tral, Dr. Harbakash Singh, on Tuesday expressed concern over the flash floods in the Nagabal and Brenpathri areas of Tral, triggered by a cloudburst in the upper reaches.
Dr. Singh appreciated the efforts of the Tehsildar and SDPO for reviewing the situation on the ground and urged the administration to deputise teams to assess the losses caused by the flash floods.
He also called for the construction of proper bunds at vulnerable locations wherever necessary to prevent further damage.
Earlier, a cloudburst in the upper reaches triggered flash floods in the area, creating panic among residents.
