Tral, 3 Sept: Residents of Laribal Gadpora village in Aripal tehsil of Tral have raised concerns over the poor condition of the road connecting their village, alleging that despite repeated applications to higher authorities, no effective action has been taken so far.
According to a local resident, the road has developed several potholes and damaged stretches, making daily commuting difficult. “The problem has particularly affected school-going students, as they face difficulties while travelling to and returning from school.”
He said that school buses do not enter the village, forcing students to walk for around 10 minutes to reach the designated bus stop. He said the walk becomes especially difficult during the hot weather.
The resident further claimed that the issue has been brought to the attention of the concerned authorities through several applications, but the road continues to remain in poor condition.
The resident on behalf of locals has appealed to the concerned authorities to take immediate steps for the repair and improvement of the road.
