Srinagar, September 09:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Secretary for Jammu and Kashmir, Mudasir Wani, and BJP State Executive Member and District Ganderbal Panchayati Election Incharge, Mohammad Amin Shah, held a strategic meeting this week to outline the party’s organizational roadmap and assess the local political landscape. The fruitful discussion culminated in a sharp critique of the ruling government, directly targeting the Chief Minister for the stark underdevelopment of his own constituency.
Addressing the media post-meeting, Mudasir Wani stated that Ganderbal bears no resemblance to a Chief Minister’s constituency, citing severe deficits in basic infrastructural facilities. Mudasir Wani explicitly credited the Lieutenant Governor’s administration for the region’s tangible progress, emphasizing that it was the LG who ensured Ganderbal received critical assets like colleges, schools, bridges, and other everyday necessities. According to Wani, the developmental momentum initiated by the LG has stalled under the current Chief Minister, pushing the district back onto a track of administrative neglect and backwardness.
Following the organizational review, Mohammad Amin Shah weighed in on the stark contrast between the current government’s promises and the reality on the ground in Ganderbal.
“Ganderbal has been historically taken for granted by those who use it merely as a political stepping stone,” Shah stated. “The contrast is visible to every citizen. The LG administration delivered concrete infrastructure, schools to educate our youth and bridges to connect our communities. Today, we are witnessing a return to apathy. The BJP is mobilizing at the grassroots because the people of Ganderbal demand accountability, not empty rhetoric. We are committed to rebuilding the district through strong, transparent, and proactive local governance.”
The dialogue between Wani and Shah underscores the BJP’s aggressive strategy to consolidate its organizational base in the region. By highlighting the disparity between the Lieutenant Governor’s developmental push and the current administration’s inertia, the party aims to galvanize public support and strengthen its grassroots democratic framework ahead of upcoming electoral exercises.
