Pampore, September 12: The Social Welfare and Development Committee, Lalpora Pampore, organised an Islamic Writing Quiz Competition on Friday, witnessing enthusiastic participation from more than 100 children from the area.
The programme was organised in the presence of Committee Chairman Bashir Ahmad Dar, along with other members of the committee.
The competition was aimed at encouraging children to develop an interest in Islamic teachings, religious knowledge, reading and other positive and constructive activities. The organisers said the initiative provided children with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge while promoting healthy competition and creative learning.
During the event, participants actively took part in the quiz and writing activities, demonstrating enthusiasm and interest in religious and educational subjects.
The top three performers were felicitated for their achievements and presented with cash prizes, certificates and copies of the Holy Quran.
Speaking on the occasion, the organisers said such programmes are important for nurturing positive values among children and encouraging them to remain connected with learning, reading and constructive activities.
They added that the committee would continue to organise similar educational and awareness programmes in the future to encourage children and provide them with opportunities to showcase their knowledge and abilities.
