District Pulwama Taekwondo Championship 2024 Begins at Awantipora

Pulwama, 3 Oct: The Taekwondo Association of District Pulwama, in collaboration with the Gindoo Foundation, successfully inaugurated the District Pulwama Taekwondo Championships 2024. The event is being held under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association and the J&K Sports Council at Marriage Hall, Awantipora.

The opening ceremony was graced by Shri Rajeev Yadav (CO 130 BN CRPF) as the Chief Guest and Shri Vishant (Deputy Commandant, 130 BN CRPF) as the Guest of Honor. Other esteemed guests included Er. Jehangeera Ali (Vice President, Gindoo Foundation) and Mr. Burhan Ud Din Khan (NIS Taekwondo Coach & Executive Member, J&K Taekwondo Association), who served as observers appointed by the J&K Taekwondo Association.

The championships saw the participation of around 150 athletes from various schools and clubs across District Pulwama. Competitions are being held across four age groups: Sub-junior, Cadets, Junior, and Senior.

The event is being led by Mr. Shah Faisal Ali, Organizing Secretary of the Taekwondo Association of District Pulwama, with a dedicated referee panel including Tajamul Gani (State Referee), Faisal Qadir (District Referee), Mufti Taha (District Referee), Tehzeeb Jaan (District Referee), and Sartaj Iqbal (District Referee).
