Army honours its braveheart in Drugmulla Kupwara

Kupwara, Oct 23: In a solemn and heartfelt ceremony, Indian Army commemorated the bravery and sacrifice of the local Immortal Hero, Rifleman Bashir Ahmad Lone, SM (P) with the inauguration of a bust in his honour. The event was graced by Commander Vajr Artillery Brigade and Mrs Aayushi Sudan, IAS, DC Kupwara as the chief guest.

The event commenced with the arrival of the chief Mrs Aayushi Sudan, IAS, DC Kupwara, who was warmly welcomed by the Principal and selected students.

The chief guest unveiled the bust of the Fallen Hero, paying tribute to his valour and dedication. A moment of silence was observed to honour the memory of the Fallen Hero.

In a touching gesture, the Next of Kin of our fallen hero was felicitated by the chief guest. The DC in her address highlighted the significance of the Fallen Hero Rifleman Bashir Ahmad Lone, SM (P)’s sacrifice encouraging others to follow him, Indian Army’s role in nation building and fight against substance abuse in jammu Kashmir, the value of education for students and the importance of striving for excellence.

As part of the event, Indian Army and DC, Kupwara also distributed school bags and stationary to the students, encouraging them to pursue their studies with diligence and dedication and to imbibe patriotism.

The event concluded with refreshments for all attendees, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
