Srinagar, October 24: The University of Kashmir on Thursday concluded its Ist International Conference on Breast Cancer, organized by the Department of Bio-Resources from October 22 to 24. The three-day event aimed to raise awareness about the critical importance of early detection of breast cancer.
Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Mir, the Organizing Secretary of the conference, emphasized its significance as the first of its kind in the varsity. He highlighted that discussions among experts focused on strategies for early detection, which can save countless lives.
“We have been conducting such events since 2021 and are committed to expanding these initiatives to other institutions across Kashmir,” Dr. Mir stated during an interview with the media.
The conference featured a range of presentations and discussions, bringing together medical professionals and researchers to share insights and best practices in the fight against breast cancer.
