Ganderbal Press Association announces dates for Executive Body Elections

Ganderbal: The election commission of Ganderbal Press Association has issued schedule for the General body election of the association.

According to the press release, The election for the executive body of GPA is scheduled to be held on 5th of December at the Auditorium of GDC Ganderbal.

The voting process will Start from 11:00-Am to 1:00-PM and the reporting time for voters is 10:30am, the Counting of votes will commence after the poll is over and accordingly results will be declared.

The nomination papers for the post of President, Vice president, General secretary & Treasurer shall be submitted before the returning officer of GPA from 23rd November to 26th November upto 4PM.

Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate upto 3:00Pm on 27th Nov, the nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny on 28th November, press release read.

The candidates are allowed officially to campaign from 29th to 2nd December.

A candidate shall pay a security deposit for the post of President, Vice president, General secretary Rs:700 & For the post of treasurer Rs:500 with their nomination papers.
