Ganderbal: Residents of Ganderbal are wondering why the newly constructed old age home at Pandach has not been occupied yet, despite being completed. Currently, the old age home is operating from a rented building.
The residents are seeking answers from the authorities regarding the delay in shifting to the new facility. They argue that the new building has been completed, and it is only logical to shift the old age home to its new premises as soon as possible.
The residents are concerned that the delay may be causing inconvenience to the elderly residents and are urging the authorities to expedite the shifting process.
When contacted District Social Welfare Officer Mr Bashir Ahmed he stated that the tendering process for furniture and other essential items has been completed.
He expressed optimism that the procurement process will be finalized within a month.
