GPA Mourns the Demise of Senior Journalist Saleem Wani’s Uncle

Ganderbal: The Ganderbal Press Association (GPA) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Muhammad Shafi Wani, the uncle of Senior Journalist and Bureau Head of Gulistan News, as well as the Advisory Body Head of GPA, Mr. Saleem Wani.

Muhammad Shafi Wani, son of the late Ali Muhammad Wani and a resident of Kangan, Ganderbal, breathed his last at SKIMS Soura after a brief illness.

His funeral prayers were held in Kangan, and he was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Panzin Kangan.

In a statement, the GPA termed his demise as an irreparable loss and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying for eternal peace for the departed soul.

Notably, just 15 days ago, Haji Muhammad Yousuf Wani, the elder brother of Muhammad Shafi Wani and another uncle of Saleem Wani, also passed away, adding to the family’s grief.
