Anantnag, 23 April: The Cricket Bat Manufacturers Association of Kashmir (CBMAK) expresses its deepest anguish and outrage over the horrific and senseless attack on innocent tourists at Baisaran, Pahalgam. The barbaric act of violence, which claimed innocent lives and injured several others, is an assault not only on peace and humanity but also on the collective spirit of the people of Kashmir.
In an emergency meeting held earlier today, CBMAK unanimously decided to observe a complete shutdown of all cricket bat manufacturing units across South Kashmir as a mark of respect to the victims and to stand in unwavering solidarity with the families affected by this cowardly terror attack.
“This is not just an attack on tourists, it is an attack on the soul of Kashmir,” said Fawzul Kabiir, Vice President of CBMAK. “We condemn this heinous act in the strongest possible terms. Kashmiris are known for their warmth and hospitality, and such acts of terror are designed to tarnish that very identity. As an industry that thrives on peace, unity, and global camaraderie through sports, we grieve this loss deeply. Our prayers and support are with the victims and their loved ones.”
CBMAK also appeals to the administration to ensure a swift investigation and bring the perpetrators of this brutal crime to justice. We stand united with every voice that denounces terror and pledges to work for a Kashmir defined by peace, progress, and humanity.
