Amrit Charitable Trust, Khochhar Foundation Distribute School Bags and Stationery Kits Among Students in Tral

Pulwama, October 28: In a heartwarming initiative to promote education in remote areas, the Amrit Charitable Trust, in collaboration with the Khochhar Foundation, distributed school bags and stationery kits among bright, underprivileged students at a government school in Narastan village, Tral sub-division, South Kashmir.

The initiative forms part of the Khochhar Foundation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project aimed at supporting education and empowering children in rural and underprivileged communities.

During the event, Dr. Harbakash Singh, Chairman of the Amrit Charitable Trust, expressed concern over the lack of adequate space and infrastructure in the government school located in the Gujjar Basti area of Narastan. He assured that the matter would be taken up with the Director of Education, Kashmir, and the Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, to help establish a well-equipped school for the local children.

As part of the same outreach program, Dr. Singh also distributed school bags and stationery kits to students at Syed Abad Pastuna, Tral. He highlighted the Trust’s ongoing efforts to improve educational facilities in the region, noting that smart classrooms have already been provided in two schools in Tral, with plans to extend the initiative to more institutions in the future.

This initiative underscores the Trust’s commitment to creating equitable educational opportunities and nurturing young minds in some of the most underserved areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
