Srinagar, Nov 9 (SM): The Ganderbal Police, along with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), on Sunday carried out extensive searches at 30 locations across Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district as part of efforts to dismantle the terror ecosystem, officials said.
The searches were conducted at the residences of surrendered and former militants to identify and neutralize elements providing support to subversive activities, they said.
During the raids, several digital devices and other incriminating materials were seized for further examination, officials added.
The coordinated operation is part of a sustained campaign to prevent any attempt to revive militancy in the region, police said.
“The Ganderbal Police is committed to maintaining peace and ensuring that no individual or group is allowed to disturb the prevailing harmony in the district,” a police spokesperson said.
Locals have appreciated the police’s proactive efforts to safeguard the district from potential terror influence, the official added.(SM)
