JAMMU: On the occasion of World AIDS Day, ITI R.S. Pura organized an awareness programme focused on educating trainees about HIV/AIDS and promoting compassion, prevention, and informed decision-making.
The session was led by Superintendent ITI R.S. Pura, Amandeep Singh, who delivered a timely and informative lecture on the significance of HIV/AIDS awareness. He highlighted key issues such as the risks associated with the virus, the consequences of delayed diagnosis, and common misconceptions that often contribute to stigma and discrimination.
Amandeep Singh stressed the importance of responsible behavior, regular testing, and maintaining a supportive attitude toward individuals living with HIV/AIDS. His lecture aimed to cultivate a culture of understanding, inclusivity, and empathy among the trainees.
The interactive session also encouraged active participation, with trainees asking questions and sharing their views, helping to create an open and safe learning environment.
