PULWAMA – On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom (IAS), the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Shahbaz Ahmad Bodha, officially flagged off a high-profile district-level exposure visit and sports event for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) today. The contingent, destined for Pahalgam, Anantnag, was sent off in the presence of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Pulwama, Mr. Gh. Nabi Najar, and other senior officials.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Chief Education Office Pulwama, was designed to champion the cause of inclusive education and provide a platform to celebrate the diverse talents of specially-abled students. A total of 63 CWSN students, representing all educational zones of the district, participated in the event. They were accompanied by a dedicated team of Resource Persons, Special Educators, and the District Coordinator.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, CEO Mr. Gh. Nabi Najar underscored the paramount importance of safety, responsibility, and personalized assistance for the children during the tour. He remarked that such exposure visits and athletic engagements are instrumental in fostering physical well-being, social interaction, and a spirit of sportsmanship among CWSN students.
The event served as a vibrant stage for the participants to demonstrate their athletic prowess, significantly boosting the sense of camaraderie between students, teachers, and parents. District Coordinator, Mr. Javid Ahmad Bhat, along with his team, was credited for the seamless execution and grand success of the program.

The program culminated in a valedictory session where mementos, medals, and certificates of appreciation were distributed among the participants amidst resounding applause. The students concluded the day with a renewed sense of confidence and cherished memories.
