Awantipora, 25 April 2026: Continuing its sustained efforts against drug abuse, Police Station Tral organized a comprehensive awareness programme under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan. During the programme, Numberdars and Chowkidars of the Tral area were sensitized about the serious threat posed by drug addiction and its far-reaching consequences on individuals, families, and society at large. Emphasis was laid on their role as grassroots-level representatives in identifying and reporting suspicious activities related to drug peddling. They were advised to remain vigilant and ensure that no illicit cultivation of poppy or other narcotic substances takes place within their respective jurisdictions.

Participants were also encouraged to actively support police efforts by sharing timely information and spreading awareness within their communities to curb the menace effectively.
