PULWAMA, 15 July: A three-day orientation program titled “Integration of Art and Professional Training in Classroom Lessons” successfully concluded at the District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Pulwama today, aiming to align classroom instruction with a purposeful, value-based, and skill-oriented learning process in line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The program was conceived and organized under the active leadership of **Rozy Qureshi**, Principal of DIET Pulwama, whose modern educational vision was widely praised as a guiding light for this initiative.
Seamlessly executed under the constant patronage and guidance of Kamrun Nisa, Tasleema Jan, and Altaf Hussain Qadri, the program’s success was highly credited to coordinator Mukhtar Ahmad Malik for his tireless efforts in ensuring every session ran in a highly organized and cohesive manner.
During the technical sessions, renowned faculty member and resource person Dr. Shabina Yaseen delivered a keynote address on making the learning process effective through art, emphasizing the integration of “Kaushal Bodh” (skill development) in the educational system while participating teachers presented various practical models.
Another key resource person, Ashiq Khanday, presented a detailed and insightful overview of the program, sharing practical examples of how complex concepts in Mathematics, Science, and other subjects can be simplified and made deeply engaging for students through local traditional arts such as papier-mâché, clay modeling, and handicrafts.
Highlighting the relevance of the workshop, participant Ruheel Ahad remarked that this kind of training is the need of the hour and will greatly help nurture the creative abilities of school students.
At the valedictory ceremony, Assistant Coordinator Dr. Shabina extended her heartfelt gratitude to all guests, organizers, and participants, highly praising the teachers’ dedication, punctuality, and active involvement. She expressed immense confidence that the educators would carry the spirit of art infusion and the vision of NEP 2020 into their classrooms to make learning a more beautiful experience, after which the program concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to teachers representing various educational zones.
