WEDC -CIED IUST organizes programme on Meta literacy

Awantipora, Dec 2: The Women Entrepreneurship Development Cell (WEDC), Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), organized a program on Meta-Literacy in the digital World, aimed to educate the students and budding entrepreneurs about the evolving nature of media, the and the need for continuous learning in the digital age.

The speakers of the program included Dr. C.K. Bhardwaj, Founder of SEED (Society for Systematic Education for Everybody’s Development), COAIM, and Mr. Gyanam Suvigyanam; Dr. Shiv Satchit, Founder of Global Media Network; and Mr. Arif Khanyari, Founder of ESOS Global.

Dr. C.K. Bhardwaj delved into the concepts of MetaLiteracy and metaphysics, underscoring that media should be a tool to imbibe qualities like selflessness and work for the welfare of humanity. He commended IUST for creating platforms that encourage critical thinking and values-driven education. Dr. Satchit discussed the evolving role of media, and spoke about the significant transformations that the media has undergone all these years and is expected to transform in the coming years.

Prof. Parvez A. Mir, Director CIED, remarked on the relevance of such programs, stating that in an era of rapidly evolving media and technology, entrepreneurs need to understand the digital world and know how to use media responsibly and ethically for the betterment of society.
