Post snowfall: 90 per cent water supply restored across Qazigund belt: AEE PHE

Says some lift schemes still defunt due to non-availability of electricity restoration, efforts on to restore it shortly

Qazigund (Kulgam), Dec 29: Following the heavy snowfall led to the disruption of water supply to maximum areas of Qazigund belt, officials at PHE (Jal Shakti) department on Sunday said that around 90 percent of the water supply has been restored in Qazigund belt.

Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) PHE (Jal Shakti), Sub-division Qazigund Rafiq Ahmad told that they have restored 90 per cent water supply across Qazigund belt after the heavy snowfall in region.

“Some lift schemes are still defunt due to non-availability of electricity restoration, adding department is working on it to restore the water supply as soon as possible to avoid any inconvenience to general public”, he said.
