7 Trainees from Tral Selected for 30th National Thang-Ta Championship

Srinagar, January 1: In a remarkable achievement for the Khelo India Thang-ta Centre Tral, seven talented trainees from the center have been selected to participate in the 30th Sub-Junior and Senior National Championship 2024.

Talking to the Srinagar Mail, Thang-Ta Coach, Sajad Ahmad has said that the championship will be held in Uttarakhand from January 4-6, 2025.

He said that the selected athletes are: Arjumand Majeed, Jasveen Kour, Shaista, Moein Ud Din, Uzain Riyaz, Jaideep Singh & Murtaza Shafi.

These promising athletes have earned their place in the national championship after showcasing exceptional talent in a UT level championship held at Srinagar.

The Khelo India Thang-ta Centre, which is a part of the government’s initiative to promote traditional sports, has become a hub for nurturing young talent.
