BOMIS Pampore Hosts Inter-School Tilawat-e-Quran & Group Naat Competition on Firaaq-e-Ramadhan

Pampore, March 26: Birla Open Minds International School (BOMIS) Pampore organized a spiritually enriching Inter-School Tilawat-e-Quran and Group Naat Competition on the occasion of Firaaq-e-Ramadhan. The event brought together students from various institutions, fostering an atmosphere of devotion and reverence.

Addressing the gathering, Peerzada Maulana Shakeel ur Rehman Owasi praised the participants, stating, “It is heartening to see these students express their deep love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) through such soulful recitations. Their devotion and sincerity reflect the essence of Ramadhan. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to BOMIS Pampore for organizing such an inspiring event that nurtures faith and spirituality among the youth.”

The event commenced with an insightful discourse by Ghulam Hassan Ghamgeen, who delved into the art of Naat recitation and the discipline of expressing love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He emphasized the poetic and spiritual essence of Naats, inspiring students to embrace both devotion and discipline in their performances.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal BOMIS Pampore Dr Mehnaz Rehman expressed gratitude to all participating schools and the jury panel, stating, “It is an honor to host such a meaningful event that not only celebrates the beauty of Quranic recitation and devotional poetry but also strengthens the spiritual foundation of our students. We are proud to provide a platform where young talents can express their love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and enrich their connection with faith.”

The competition was judged by Peerzada Maulana Shakeel ur Rehman Owasi, Mirwaiz Khanqah-e-Faiz Panah Pakherpora and District President Karwan-e-Islami International, Shopian, alongside Ghulam Hassan Ghamgeen, a renowned Kashmiri poet, broadcaster, and former senior broadcaster at All India Radio (Radio Kashmir), celebrated for his Naat recitations and historical writings.

Participants from Green Valley Educational Institution, Kashmir Harvard School, Dolphin International School Pulwama, Doon International School Baramulla, and Hamdania Mission School showcased exceptional talent in Quranic recitation and devotional poetry, reflecting deep spiritual commitment.
