Tral, Sep 4: In a proactive move to ensure food safety and curb overpricing, the Tral Police on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive market checking drive across the town.
The inspection was aimed at monitoring the quality of food being served in restaurants and verifying that commodities were being sold at government-approved rates.
The drive was carried out under the supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) Tral, Abdul Rashid. During the inspection, several restaurants were visited, where food quality, hygiene standards, and price lists were thoroughly checked.
The police have reiterated that similar drives will continue in the future to keep a regular check on market practices, and anyone found violating the norms will be dealt with strictly under the law.
