Police said that Cyber Police Station Ganderbal had received multiple complaints over the past four months through the CEIR Portal and various police units regarding missing and lost mobile phones. Acting swiftly on these complaints and under the directions of SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal (JKPS), special teams were constituted to trace the devices.

Following sustained technical surveillance and field efforts, the teams successfully recovered 46 mobile phones from various locations across the UT.

The recovered mobile phones were formally handed over to their rightful owners on Thursday by SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal in the presence of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal, after completing all legal formalities.

Police said the recovery reflects Ganderbal Police’s commitment towards redressing public grievances and effectively tackling cyber-enabled crimes through the use of modern technology and coordinated policing.
