Faculty members and super specialists from KMCH across various departments provided free consultations to patients in multiple specialties. Free medicines and diagnostic investigations, including USG, were also provided.

The camp was held under the supervision of Managing Director, KMCH, Tausif Ahmad and Principal/Dean KMCH, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Khan. The camps was attended by Faculty members, super specialist doctors and staff of the KMCH.

Managing Director, KMCH, Tausif Ahmad said that such outreach programmes aim to improve community health and ensure access to quality healthcare for the general public.

He said they are holding these free camps as part of their larger community outreach programmes to bring super-specialist care and essential medicines directly to the people.

“Our goal is to ensure that no patient is deprived of quality healthcare due to distance or financial constraints. We will continue to expand these initiatives to reach more communities and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives,” he said.

He further emphasised that the institute remains committed to delivering patient-centric, affordable and quality healthcare, particularly for the underprivileged sections of society.

Principal/Dean KMCH, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Khan said that the response they received in previously held camps has encouraged them to plan more such camps for the betterment of healthcare for the general public.

He said KMCH is the first private medical college in Jammu and Kashmir with a planned capacity of 1,000 beds, and all super-speciality services are expected to be operational this year.

The principal said KMCH has already conducted over a dozen such camps across the valley in hospitals and communities and is expanding its outreach through more community-based healthcare initiatives.

Doctors from various specialties examined patients and provided treatment during the camp. The medical camp witnessed participation of nearly 2,000 patients, who were treated free of cost. Senior faculty members, specialist doctors and staff were present on the occasion.

The super specialists who attended the camp said the initiative was aimed at providing better healthcare services to the community. They also appreciated the coordination among concerned stakeholders for making the camp successful.
