The joint operation covered the main markets of Ganderbal town, Kangan, Gund and Kullan, along with other identified vulnerable locations. The exercise was aimed at enhancing public confidence, preventing potential security threats and ensuring a peaceful atmosphere across the district.

During the operation, security personnel carried out systematic searches and interacted with shopkeepers, traders and local residents, urging them to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies.

Police said the visible deployment of J&K Police and CAPF personnel served as a deterrent against anti-social and unlawful elements while reassuring the public of the security forces’ commitment to safeguarding life and property. The operation was conducted in a professional and public-friendly manner, causing minimal inconvenience to the public.

Officials said Ganderbal Police will continue to undertake area domination and search operations at regular intervals as part of proactive policing measures to strengthen security, maintain law and order, and preserve peace across the district.(SM)
