AWANTIPORA, PULWAMA: The Khelo India ASMITA Women’s Wushu League Pulwama 2026, organised by the District Pulwama Wushu Association, was successfully conducted at Hajahad Public Higher Secondary School, Awantipora.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 250 young athletes, providing them with a platform to showcase their talent, discipline and dedication in Wushu.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Lt. Col. Prateek Panwar, 2IC, 42 RR BN (Assam), who appreciated the efforts of the organisers, coaches, officials and young athletes in promoting sports and encouraging youth participation.
The JKCasting team, Mrs. Nimra and Mr. Arahan Sahib, were also present as distinguished guests. They encouraged the young athletes and presented medals and certificates to the students, making the occasion memorable for all participants.
Mr. Danish, Vice Principal of Hajahad Public Higher Secondary School, was also present on the occasion and extended his support and encouragement towards the young athletes and the successful conduct of the event.
The organisers expressed their sincere gratitude to Shri Kuldeep Handoo, Chief Wushu Coach of India, for his valuable guidance and continued contribution towards the development of Wushu.
Special appreciation was also extended to Mr. Mudasir Ah Dar, General Secretary, District Pulwama Wushu Association, and Joint Secretaries Mr. Maqsood Ahmad Rather, Mr. Rameez Ahmad Dar, Mr. Aijaz Hassan and Mr. Irfan Ahmad for their dedicated efforts and support in the successful conduct of the league.
The association also thanked the school management, coaches, officials, volunteers, parents and participants for their valuable contribution and support.
The successful conduct of the ASMITA Women’s Wushu League Pulwama 2026 marks a meaningful step towards empowering women, nurturing young sporting talent and promoting Wushu at the grassroots level in Pulwama.
