Tral, 20 Nov: A youth from Gulshanpora village in Tral narrowly escaped a leopard attack on Wednesday, adding to the growing concern over increasing wildlife encounters in the area. Locals say that the leopard, which has been roaming the area for the past two months, has already claimed the life of a minor girl and killed several domestic animals, heightening fears among residents.

According to eyewitnesses, the youth was chased by the leopard while near his home but managed to escape with the help of his father, who confronted the animal. The incident has once again drawn attention to the ongoing issue of leopard sightings and attacks in the village.
