Srinagar, April 18: Senior BJP leader and Jammu and Kashmir Spokesman Altaf Thakur today expressed profound grief over the demise of renowned religious scholar Aga Syed Bakir Al-Mosavi Al-Safavi, calling him “a towering spiritual personality and a symbol of unity and humility.”

In a heartfelt condolence message, Thakur said, “Aga Syed Bakir Sahib was a beacon of peace, knowledge, and religious integrity. His entire life was devoted to spreading the message of Islam with simplicity, sincerity and dignity. He was a non-controversial figure whose presence transcended sectarian lines and brought people together in the spirit of brotherhood and harmony.”

Thakur emphasized that Aga Syed Bakir’s contributions to religious education and social upliftment in Kashmir will be remembered for generations. “In an era where polarization is rampant, his voice stood for calm, unity, and spiritual wisdom,” he said.

Offering condolences to the bereaved family and the broader religious community, Thakur prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. “May Almighty Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength to his family and followers to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.

The passing of Aga Syed Bakir Al-Mosavi Al-Safavi has triggered a wave of mourning across Kashmir’s religious and social circles, with tributes pouring in from leaders, scholars, and citizens alike.
