Senior BJP Leader Mohammad Amin Shah Voices Concern Over Hailstorm Devastation in Ganderbal, Seeks Urgent Government Intervention

Ganderbal, April 18: Senior BJP leader and former District President of BJP Ganderbal, Mohammad Amin Shah, has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the widespread devastation caused to agricultural fields and orchards in several areas of Ganderbal district following a severe hailstorm.

In his statement, Shah highlighted that areas including Lar, Waliwar, Kruhama, Barsoo, Wakura, Ahan, Batwina, Manigam, Benihama Busserbugh and other areas have suffered extensive damage, severely impacting the livelihood of local farmers and orchardists. He described the situation as distressing and called for immediate attention to the plight of the affected families.

Mohammad Amin Shah has appealed to the Union Territory Government of Jammu and Kashmir and the District Administration of Ganderbal to carry out a thorough assessment of the damage and ensure timely intervention. He emphasized the need for adequate compensation and relief measures to support those affected by the natural calamity.

“The agricultural sector is the backbone of our local economy, and such incidents can have long-lasting repercussions on the lives of our people,” Shah stated, urging authorities to prioritize assistance and recovery efforts in the region.

Shah also called for the implementation of long-term protective measures to safeguard crops and plantations from such unpredictable weather events in the future.
