Awantipora, June 16: Panic has swept across the Padgampora area of Awantipora in South Kashmir following a stray dog that allegedly attacked and injured a number of residents.
The stray dog has been wandering freely in the village for the last two days and is causing fear and panic among the residents, said the locals. A number of people, including women and elderly citizens, have been attacked by the dog and are receiving medical care.
In light of the current situation, locals urged the authorities to act immediately and remove the threat before more are hurt.
The citizens also complained of a dump siten close to their agricultural land, which they feel is bringing stray dogs closer to the neighborhood. They want the site relocated in order to avoid further occurrences.
