Budding Scientists Showcase Innovation at RSBVP 2025 in Pulwama

PULWAMA, April 09: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Pulwama organized the district-level Rajyia Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RSBVP 2025) today at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Pulwama. The event, centered on the theme “STEM for Viksit Bharat,” saw a massive turnout of young innovators from government and private schools across the district.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Gh. Mohi-ud-din, CEO Srinagar and Principal DIET, in the presence of CEO Pulwama, Mr. Gh. Nabi Najar, and the Principal of GGHSS Pulwama. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mohi-ud-din described Pulwama as a “fertile land” for scientific growth and urged students to become future leaders in technology, agriculture, and environmental sciences.

Highlights of the Competition

The event featured a seminar and a model exhibition where students tackled real-world challenges:

Seminar: Focused on “Reducing Plastic Pollution,” 16 students competed for a spot at the UT-level. Mohammad Huzaif (MEI Nehama) secured the first position, followed by Hameem Ashraf (Hamdard Grammar School) in second.

Model Exhibition: Out of 45 innovative models presented, seven were selected for the next level. Themes included Sustainable Agriculture, Green Energy, Waste Management, and Mathematical Modeling.

UT-Level Qualifiers

The students selected to represent Pulwama at the UT-level competition include:

 * Mohammad Numair (Satiser Pampore)

 * Mahan Sameer (GHS Lajurah)

 * Mahiyayie (CHS Pulwama)

 * Mohammad Moazin Bilal (KIPS Kakapora)

 * Sukhjeet Singh (FVMS Tral)

 * Imadul Islam (Hamdard Grammar School)

 * Furqan Shabir (Trali Balance)

A Collaborative Success

The program was coordinated by Mtr. Tasleema Jan (HOD) and anchored by District Nodal Officer Dr. Syed Shakeel. The faculty of DIET Pulwama, including HOD Mr. Altaf Hussain Qadri and several lecturers, were lauded for their support in making the event a success.

The day concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Senior Lecturer DIET, who expressed gratitude to GGHSS Pulwama and Mr. Arshad Ahmad Shiekh for providing the necessary logistics to host the young scientists.
